Yums' first ice cream truck experience

We had a fun little surprise today while we were cleaning out the garage...a visit from the (ghetto) ice cream truck!! I was inside when I heard the music and then Patrick scream "Babe, get your camera and come outside!" I love this man...he knows how special it is to me tobe able to  document Yums' first experience with an ice cream truck! He was SO excited and chose a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich (so much for lunch!). He handed them his dollar and they look at Patrick, "Uh...yeah, it's two dollars." Of COURSE my husband has to embarrass me by saying "Wow, times sure have changed...when I was a boy ice cream sandwiches were only a dollar." Honey, you're only 26...you don't get to make these types of comments yet!!!

  

After playing outside for two hours, without a nap mind you, and then the crash that followed the sugar high, Yums did something he's never done before EVER: he fell asleep on the couch!  Yep, so much for watching the Polar Express!  Patrick and I were straightening up in our bedroom and realize it's awfully quiet out in the living room.  Sure enough, he's out COLD!!  Of course I had to document that too!  First are BIG for me!!  I already feel bad for the next baby..."Oh...you walked for the first time...you'll do it again and I'll get it on camera then!" ;)

And well, because we've all had a rough week and we completely forgot that he had already had a treat today we headed outside after dinner with popsicles. They ARE 100% fruit, but still... The extra sugar would probably explain why we're having trouble getting him to bed as I type! Nevertheless, there's nothing better than popsicle pictures at sunset!
