A New First...

BOWLING!!! We've been wanting to introduce Yums to bowling for a while now, and ever since he saw Fred Flinstone bowl on the "The Flintstones Movie" he's been dying to go. It was yet another rainy FL afternoon yesterday, so we called Grandma and Gee and headed to the nearest bowling alley. When we got there Yums just kept saying how weird everything was! Up until that point he'd only his only experience with bowling was on the Wii!

He put on his little shoes, Gee helped him get a 5 lb ball to use, and he was ready to go. I wish I had brought my FLIP, as he ran down the lane on his tip-toes a la Fred Flinstone and hurled his ball down the lane. It zig-zagged down the lane before finally knocking a couple of pins down. He was SO proud of himself!! He did great taking turns with Grandma, Papa and I, and really seemed to get into it! Only once (ok, twice!) did we have to chase his ball down a lane that wasn't ours!!! :)

After our game, we headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner and out of the blue he says "Thank you Mommy and Papa for taking me bowling!!" I so love this kid :)
