Where have we been???

Well, we've been here...but my computer has been there. There as in the guest room. Because it's the coldest room in the house and on the opposite side as our bedroom, I rarely go in there. But I'm in here tonight, so now it's time to play catch up!!!

Grandma and Grandpa got William (and us!) tickets to go see Dr Suess's "Go Dog Go" put on by the Orlando Repertory Theater for Christmas. We went last Sunday thinking William would absoutely LOVE it! We got there a few minutes early and they were handing out copies of "Go Dog Go" and stamps...which he loved. He ran around outside the theater waving to all the kids and climbing on everything...which he loved. We went inside and the show started...and he freaked out! We had fabulous front-row seats, but William decided that old men dressed as dogs was far scarier than it was entertaining. Thank God I had a pacifier in my purse, as that was enough to calm in down enough not to bawl. He laid on my chest, clinging to me for dear life, on the verge of tears the entire first half hour. I even gave him a lollipop thinking that would help him relax, but he refused to eat it...just held it and occasionally brought it up to his noise to smell it. He was NOT letting go of that pacifier. Thankfully, though, he warmed up to the idea and the songs the second half of the show. He turned around, even went and sat on Dad's lap for a bit, a clapped and danced along. And when it was over he didn't want it to end. We have tickets for "Suessical the Musical" there in April...I'm hoping he skips being terrified and remembers how much he likes it!



















Yesterday I attempted to get some Valentine-like shots of William on our new bed....it did not go well! Whether it was me or my camera (okay, most likely user-error), I could not take a decent photo to save my life!!! Despite having good lighting, everything was out of focus. I had to break down and use the flash in some shots. A Speedlight is definitely going on the wishlist...







These are a few of William playing outside yesterday. Again, couldn't get a shot in focus to save my life (not usually a problem outdoors...wonder if something's going on with my camera). He discovered the flowers on the plants we planted out front. He was just too cute with them!
