My baby boy is growing up!
Every so often William will have one of those days where he seems to just jump 10 steps forward in development. Today was one of those days. First, he started using the peddles on his tricycle for the first time! Normally he just holds onto the middle of the handlebar and walks the bike around. Today, though, he was actually putting his feet up and holding on correctly to the handlebars! He looked infinitely older!

Also, William's been very interested in "big boy beds" lately. My plan is to take the pacifier away tomorrow, and despite wanting to overwhelm him, thought it could be a good time to take the railing off his crib as well. I took it off this afternoon and had him "help" me do it, explaining to him how big he was now and how proud we were of him that he was going to sleep in his bed like a big boy. We put him down for a nap in his bed...he stayed there...for 3 minutes...and then ran to his door. After a few seconds of rattling the doorknob he was quiet. He had went to sleep. Where, exactly, I wasn't quite sure. Curious as I was, I quietly sneaked into his room and found him....asleep on the floor in the middle of his rug! A complete success in my book! :)
