21 months and counting...

Wow...I can't believe I'm three months away from having a TWO YEAR OLD! Where did the time go? I can remember planning his first birthday party as if it were yesterday! William's in a developmental growth spurt right now, so I figured I'd catch you all up on what HE'S up to!

For starters, his language is really taking off. Just in the last two weeks he's really practicing putting two and three words together to form mini-sentences. He creates games for himself just to give himself more opportunities to form sentences. His latest, putting all his pacifiers in his big red truck and saying "Byeee Beppy". He also loves to peak around corners and say "Hi Mama" and "Hi Papa". Another favorite is throwing his food on the floor so he can say "Tuckie EAT!" He's also putting more words together with this signs. He just recently learned to shake his head no (we got VERY lucky that it took this long!) and just in the past week has been saying "Yeah!!!" when he says yes.

He's pretty much a running, jumping, dancing, somersault-doing fool right now! =) He loves to dance and has recently been insisting on staying up late just to watch So You Think You Can Dance with us. He claps for all the performers and tries to mimic their moves. Staying up for one show has quickly led to William not wanting to go to bed until 10:00 at night...some nights later. We've figured out, though, that if we lay down with him and watch Blues Clues or something he'll usually put up less of a fight when it's over. The other night he actually fell asleep on Patrick while he was watching it.

He's such a joy but such a handful right now! He's learned to scream in public if I give him "the look", he flirts with every pretty girl he sees, and insists on doing everything himself, like washing his hands using his big boy step stool. I'm hoping to have some video soon of him being William for those of you who don't see him that often! I guarantee LOTS of laughs!!!
