Here's how our morning went...
Yums: "Please Mommy I have lunchable for breakfast?"
Me: "Ok, whatever...that's fine, but you need to eat all your turkey, not just the crackers."
Y: "Okay mom!"
Five minutes later,...
Me: "William, Mommy told you to eat your turkey. Why did you dump it on the floor?
Yums: "No want turkey...want crackers."
Me: "You need to pick up the turkey you dumped on the floor."
Yums: "No, YOU do it." Here starts the whining and crying
Five minutes of back and forth "I can't do it," "Can't reach it," "Please help me" and I was irate. Long story short, he finally picked it up. I gave him a high five and a hug and we moved on. He asked for some orange juice, so I went and poured some in a big boy cup. Not what he wanted...he wants a sippy cup. Well, they're all dirty and Mommy's not washing one.
Me: "If you want orange juice, you will drink it in the kitchen."
Yums: "No want orange juice...gotta show you" and he heads for the pantry because he wants something to eat.
Me: "Sorry, Yums...you asked for a lunchable and then didn't eat it. Nothing else til lunch."
More whining, crying, temper tantrums.
When he stopped I came back and he apologized...we moved on. He asks to watch Thomas, I turn it on, he's sitting on the couch with his blanket, so I head to our bedroom (which is RIGHT next door) and start straightening up. I come back out a few minutes later and he has purposefully dumped out his orange juice on the couch on top of some wooden train tracks. WTH?! WHY William...WHY??? We had been playing ALL morning...we went outside, we played in the play room... It wasn't for a lack of attention, I don't think. He literally acts up the SECOND he's out of my sight. I can't possibly have my eye on him at all times in the house...it's just not feasible.
So William's about to have a complete overall in his little world. I'm all about picking battles, and I'm picking this one...we do NOT waste food and we are NOT defiant. End of story.
I need to go see if the couch cushions are dry... In the meantime, here are some quick pics from this morning when he wasn't being a holy terror! ;)

This wasn't from today, but from a few days ago when he wasn't feeling well. These adorable moments keep me going, so I figured I'd throw one in here :)
