Christmas came early....

All I ever want is a) for my son to be happy and 2) to get some shots of him that truly show his sweet and fun personality.

I took him out this afternoon after his nap on a whim, just to see what I could get out of him. On the way downtown he made it very clear he did not want to take pictures, despite my purposeful omission of the reason for our outing. Once he started protesting I told him I just had to test my camera and asked if he could help me. I still got a NO, but for whatever reason he really got into it!! He just had fun, acted like his goofy, sweet self, and we just enjoyed being together. He asked me to take pictures of him sticking his tongue out, rolling his eyes, and when I asked for eye contact he actually looked. Who was this kid and what did he do with my son?!?!

Needless to say, I'm one happy mama tonight!! I feel a complete re-vamp of the hallway photo gallery coming on... =)
