Cocoa Beach Weekend Getaway

The boys and I decided last minute to head to Cocoa for the weekend for a little R&R...Rambunctiousness and Race Car-ing! We spent all day Saturday on the beach. Yums and Patrick even went on a 4 mile round-trip walk to the Pier and back! After we were thoroughly sun and water-logged we headed to the Go Cart tracks, as Yums is now over 40" and can drive by himself!!

He wasn't quite sure of everything at first and wanted to ride with Patrick. Daddy took it upon himself to take him on the "Pro" track! He was a trooper though, and only got mad after it was all over!! We headed inside for some arcade games (we HAD to beat Daddy at air hockey, afterall!)and then off to dinner. After dinner I wanted to get some beach photos of Yums, but he was NOT cooperating. I did get one that I really love though!

After we got him cleaned up we headed for ice cream, where Yums begged us to go back to the go-cart tracks so he could drive by himself. So back we went!! He was SO proud of himself, but I'll tell ya...that little man didn't go over ONE mph the ENTIRE time! He even stopped randomly around the track just to make sure he wasn't going too fast!! His daddy and I were DYING laughing. He had a blast though and even went on the "medium fast" (as he called it) family track with mommy afterwards!! As daddy would say, "Great fun was had by all!"
