Potty Training
So, we're slowly venturing into potty training land. My philosophy from the second I had this kid's personality figured out was to sit back and let him do it at his own pace. We got him a potty, taught him how the whole potty thing worked, and then just sat back and encouraged from afar. There is just no pushing this kid to do anything!!!
He's been really interested in the potty lately, wants to sit on it frequently, but not for more than 2 seconds. I got creative and had daddy pick up a special Little Einsteins toy that's JUST for when we sit on the potty. It stays in the bathroom and only gets played with while he's trying to go. Brilliance, I tell ya! ;) It's worked like a charm and he'll ask to sit on the potty all the time now. As of last night we've had 3 successful #1s and one #2! I honestly think that if we told him no more diapers tomorrow he'd potty train in a day, but again, I just don't want to push him before he's truly ready. He's dealing with the preschool transition right now...don't need to add anything else!!
Here are a couple pics of him and his new toy Rockett!
