Some snapshots with the new lens!!!

My 85mm 1.8 finally arrived and I haven't taken it off my camera! Doesn't William understand that Mommy NEEDS him to cooperate so I can get some practice in with this baby?! Here are a couple of my very first shots with it...

(I know I'm cutting off limbs left and right, but I kept having to remind myself "Take a BIG step back!"  It's going to take some getting used it!


Now why I thought I would get him to sit still and cooperate while at Monkey Joes is beyond me! ;) It was too cold to go outside yesterday and Yums is too rambunctious to keep INSIDE all day, so we headed to Orlando. I made the mistake of asking him at 7:00 if he wanted to go to Monkey Joes today, as they don't open til ten. For the next 2 and a half hours he drove me CRAZY!!! Thankfully he passed out in the car on the way there and gave me a break from the constant "I wanna go Monkey Joes!!!!" He had a blast, but 45 minutes into it he got knocked down (I think, I didn't manage to catch what happened) and was over it. Anyway, here are some photos from our day yesterday! The 85 did FABULOUS there, I just wish I would have had a little more room. I even took it off and slapped on my 50 but was downright disgusted at the image quality. Lets hope I don't become a lens snob...because I can't AFFORD it! ;) hehe
