Day Three...
No pictures today, but I did take some :)
We spent the day here at the hotel playing on the beach and in the pool. We had a rough night and just didn't feel up to venturing out. We had a TERRIBLE storm here last night and the hotel lost power twice. It wouldn't have been that bad if not for an over-tired Yums freaking out because he didn't understand why we couldn't turn cartoon network back on. We'll just say he didn't go down as easily last night as he did the first!
The weather forecast called for thunder storms all day and it was indeed raining when we ventured outside around 9:00. Thankfully it didn't last too long, and the sun was out strong by 10 (just ask my back!). Had you been eavesdropping on us today you would have heard numerous requests for "Bury me again Mommy," "Pease Mommy, build BIG sandcastle," and "Here ducky ducky ducky...get 'em get 'em get 'em" as he chased the sea gulls down the beach! He made it to 1:15 or so before we insisted he come up for a nap.
Two hours later he was up and roaring to go. He actually let me take him in the pool with only a minimal freakout. I kept reassuring him I wouldn't put him underwater (like we did yesterday) and he actually lasted a good 5 minutes before begging to "pease mommy, go back." A few more hours of building sand castles and playing with a MEAN 5 year old (Lord knows what little gems he picked up from that kid) on the beach and we headed to dinner. After dinner we found a little candy shop and let him pick some things out of the bins to put in his bag. This was a FIRST for Yums and he didn't quite understand the concept. I mean, a thousand little bins filled with every type of candy imaginable....what would you do?! Yeah, you'd probably grab handfulls and shove them in your mouth too! ;)
Now we're back in the room, watching Scooby Doo, and winding down. We might take a glass bottom boat tour or just spend the day on the beach again before we get rain again on Saturday. A cold front is hitting Saturday night and the high Sunday is only 70. Might be a good day for pictures though!!
