Days Three and Four...

I didn't mean to skip a day. I actually wrote a post last night and then when I went to post it it got deleted and I just did not have the energy to try again. But...I will today! :)

We spent all of yesterday and today just hanging out at the beach, dodging the rain. We lost power twice two nights ago because of some terrible storms. They must have left some lingering strands, as we never quite knew whether to head in or wait it out. We got brave today and sat through some cold sprinkles that quickly made way to beautiful blue skies. Yums had a blast playing near (not in) the "o-hen", requesting "peeese mommy, bury me" and "peeeese mommy, build BIG castle!!!" He made some friends today...some a little closer to his age! A sweet 8 yr old named Travis kept him occupied this morning looking for cool rocks, and a 4 yr old named Dimitri let him borrow his sunglasses this afternoon while he borrowed Yums' new Thomas and Percy bath toys (that made their way down to the beach).

Yums really is doing well, playing all morning, napping around 1:00, then heading back out til 4:30 or so. Tonight at dinner he found a new love for lima beans (GROSS!!!) and I think I actually managed to get a serving of carrots into him! We came back to the room early so he could catch a full episode of Scooby Doo (his new OBSESSION) just to find out it's not on tonight. :( Hopefully we'll be able to get him calmed down early tonight...Mommy sure could use some sleep!! It's supposed to rain tomorrow (a cold front is coming through), but if it clears up in the afternoon we'll probably venture out on a glass bottom boat tour. If it DOES rain all day, who knows what we'll do!! Guess we'll figure that out tomorrow :)

Is it really Friday already?? Do we HAVE to come home in two days?? My lobsterfied self would really like to stay longer!! And yeah, I'm at that point where I no longer recognize myself in the mirror. ;)
