A Brief Synopsis...

Now that we've officially approached the 16 month mark I figured it would be a good time to sum up what William's doing, saying, etc. For some reason, in my mind, 15 months is still "babyish"...16 months is definitely toddler. This transition from 15 to 16 has been a tough one for me...and now with the haircut, I feel like it's official...I no longer have a "baby". :(

So I'd like to announce...We're Pregnant!

Just kidding! We refuse to have another child solely because we miss our little man being little. We can't replace Yummies and frankly don't want to go through it all again with someone that isn't him. So we're looking into cloning! ;)

Anyway, my little man is for sure a full-blown toddler. He runs, he jumps, he climbs, he yells at me, he steals the car to go out joyriding... Sorry, just had a flashforward to 15 years from now. Really, though, he's a pretty cool little kid. He's 110% boy, but one of the most affectionate toddlers you'll ever meet. He loves giving kisses (of course, as long as they're his idea) and envelops me in a big hug whenever I've been away for more than 10 minutes. He's very well behaved unless he's tired...then he borders on miserable. I have NO clue where he got that from! :) He can say practically anything you ask him to (again, as long as it's his idea) and you'll be able to understand him well enough to get what he means. Put him in a room with an infant, a toddler and a preschooler and he'll first go to the infant carrier to play with the buckles then take off after the "big kid" and actually keep up. He is VERY interested in potty training right now and if I weren't so lazy we might actually get somewhere with it! ;) If we don't put shorts or boxers over his diaper he takes it off. If he does something in his diaper he immediately wants it off. He loves sitting on his potty despite not having done anything in it yet. He loves water, tractors, and balls and understands that golf clubs are used to hit balls on the ground and bats are used to hit balls off a tee. That's not true, is it? Well, William knows what I mean! He and I do speak our own sort of language and I feel like I have finally figured out all his quirky behaviors. I'm sure they'll all change soon though... Even at this age he always seems to be one step ahead of me.... literally.... this kid is fast! :)

Here are a few pictures that I really like but haven't had a chance to post...

This first one I took at the beginning of February. He had just woken up and I liked the lighting I was getting in the living room. I absolutely love this one because it's how I'll always remember him as a baby. Messy hair, in his tractor pajamas, standing in front of the TV watching Little Einsteins...

Just some more fun bath pics. I think the bubbles on his head look like a Mama and baby elephant... What do you think?

This is one of him using his spoon all by himself, which he does regularly, and eating an apple, whole, the way it must be done these days...

A very tired Yummies cuddling with Daddy in church...

My big man after he got his hair cut...

And lastly, a random one I took while we were playing in his room the other day. Not sure why exactly, but I really like it! (Could have something to do with the fact that it's of my kid!)
