Keeping busy...

Poor William, between his father and myself, he didn't have a chance not to get the "busy" gene. We used to kid when he was really little because as soon as you'd set him in his exersaucer he had to get to work. He'd go from one toy to the next with his own little agenda, finish one task before starting another. A year later, nothing has changed!

Daddy typically calls us when he's leaving the office and on his way home, and we'll go outside and wait for him. Lately, William hasn't wanted to go outside without bringing his "car" with him. He'll grab it with one hand, pick it up off the ground, and drag it outside where he'll push it around on his knees. The last couple of days, though, he's found a new game to play with his car. He goes around the yard, picking up various handfuls of dirt, mulch, seed pods from the magnolia tree and fills up the back of his car. When it's full, he drives it to the next spot, unloads his cargo and starts again. He would literally do this for hours if we let him!
